With diatomaceous earth filters, diatomaceous earth (fossil, tasteless diatoms) is used to filter out the turbidity of liquids, such as wine, beer, juice and other beverages. In most cases, horizontal filters with bell are used, but they are also available as frame filters, which are used in layer filter racks.
